Syrian Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (SYTRA)
In December 2015, we were advised by our local agent that SyTRA, the Syrian Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, can still issue Type Approval certificates, despite the ongoing civil war. The Syrian Type approvals can be issued based on TYPE APPROVAL GUIDELINES REGULATION For Radio Equipment and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Approved No./14/ dated July 23, 2013. These approvals are limited to three years and and the approved equipment is subject to the new national labeling requirements as well.
